- The cheetah was declared extinct in India in 1952.
Kuno National Park
- Located in Madhya Pradesh. Established as a wildlife sanctuary in 1981 and given national park status in 2018.
- Mostly contain dry deciduous trees.
- Was proposed as a site for introduction of Asiatic Lions.
