Civil Service Aptitude test – Paper-II of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, also known as CSAT is a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.

This implies that a student has to score only 67 marks out of 200 in CSAT paper. This makes students think that CSAT is Very Simple! but in last few years UPSC has made it a point to eliminate such students who take CSAT lightly, even if that means to eliminate IIT Graduates in an examination that requires 10th standard quantitative aptitude, comprehension and reasoning.

Syllabus:

  • Decision-making and problem solving
  • General mental ability
