- These awards aim to acknowledge, recognize, and reward outstanding contributions made by civil servants nationwide.
- For the year 2023, the scheme has been revamped to highlight the role of civil servants in the comprehensive development of districts, particularly under 12 Priority Sector Programs.
The awards will be distributed in the following categories:
- Category 1: Holistic Development of Districts under 12 Priority Sector Programs (10 awards).
- Category 2: Innovations for Central Ministries/Departments, States, Districts (6 awards).
- The registration and nomination submission process commenced on January 3, 2024, and the deadline for submissions is January 31, 2024.
- Recipients of the Prime Minister’s Awards for Excellence in Public Administration 2023 will be presented with a trophy, a scroll, and a financial incentive of Rs. 20 lakh.
- The awarded District/Organization can utilize this incentive for project implementation or addressing resource gaps in various public welfare areas.
